Building a websiteA new report by Ecommerce-guide.com suggests that the future of commerce is online.  Yes, I know…  I bet you did not need a report to tell you that– unless of course you’ve been living under a rock! According to the report, “E-commerce sales are expected to grow from $81 million in 2005 to over $144 billion by 2011.” With this enormous growth in online sales, it only makes sense for businesses to have a website.

If you have a business and you still do not have a website… well really I do not know what to say other than- – What are you waiting for?   You need to design a website or hire a professional web design company to do it for you. Here are some of the biggest benefits your company will receive by doing so.

A website is a cost effective method of promoting your business. Essentially, a website allows your business to be open 24/7 to consumers. By adding your web address to print ads and other more traditional means of promotion allows potential customers to get much more information than can be provided in a small advertisement. People are using online sources more often than they are using the Yellow Pages.  In fact, yellow pages is becoming more and more obsolete every year. A website allows you to communicate decision influencing information such as awards you have won, customer testimonials, or reviews. It can also communicate such information like frequently asked questions about your products and business.

Just as no company would dream of conducting business without a phone, no modern business should operate without a website. Using the web gives you a chance to easily check out your online competition as well.
